  • TranslucentTB

A lightweight utility that makes the Windows taskbar translucent/transparent.

  • Project mention: I had to do it. | /r/pcmasterrace | 2023-06-02

Take a look at TranslucentTB. It makes your taskbar see through. Your icons are still there like normal, but the white bar itself is gone. This makes any desktop look way better imo.

  • catppuccin

  • Project mention: Laughing Off the Dark Mode Lobby | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-02-18
  • craco

Create React App Configuration Override, an easy and comprehensible configuration layer for Create React App.

  • Project mention: Htmx and Web Components: A Perfect Match | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-01-18

I had some 'fun' figuring out how to deal with not going through create-react-app without doing a full eject, got something barely working ... and discovered https://craco.js.org/ already existed and did precisely what I'd part-implemented except better.

On the upside, by that point I knew the CRA codebase well enough to predict what it would do even in edge cases, and CRACO's implementation was immediately comprehensible, and none of my colleagues had to try and understand my half-arsed NIH version.

(avoiding being in any of this situation in the first place would likely have been preferable, but given where things were when I landed on the project in question that would've required a TARDIS)

  • spicetify-themes

A community-driven collection of themes for customizing Spotify through Spicetify - https://github.com/spicetify/spicetify-cli

  • Project mention: [Windows 11] Cyber Theme | /r/desktops | 2023-06-04

    - Spicetify for the custom spotify theme, I am using a modified version of the 'Dreary' theme. Theme is a bit broken atm and not being maintained, so I had to fix some bugs in the .css files, will try to push my changes to the Spicetify Themes GitHub repo when I find the time.

If you are rooted, Pixel Launcher Extended (w/ Pixel Launcher Mods) + AOSPMods (you will also need LSPosed) will give you custom rom levels of customizations on top of the pixel launcher. I really think this is how stock PixelOS should be as there are plenty of informative features like flashlight brightness adjustment or knowing the exact wattages my phone is charging at.
