  With the gateways being so "dumbed down" and devoid of troubleshooting features, determining whether there are upload bursts contributing may be difficult. Putting your own router behind the T-mo device can help profile traffic, and a good router can also offer various queue-management (e.g. SQM) or QoS options that can help. Variable performance by time of day and tower conditions can make this tricky to implement, but there's this experimental dynamic shaper for OpenWRT that may be worth exploring, if you use a router capable of running that: https://github.com/sqm-autorate/sqm-autorate

  The community made script I was unable to get it to do anything other than the issue another user encountered here, although that issue was supposed to be fixed in a new version however my testing still encounters it on the new version.
