Serverless question: When to use Function-as-a-Service vs Backend-as-a-Service?
I'd be careful on "FaaS is used for heavier data processing" yes and no, I've seen data science companies rolling back on this because it's more difficult to handle certain thing such as warming up a cache in a serverless approach or responding to peaks of connections. My current setup is Next.js app with it's serverless approach (fun fact: Next works with Python API routes, I've demoed that a while back https://github.com/lbke/snext) + a satellite long running Express server if I really need long running tasks.
