Replacing Ring Alarm System
I brought my ring alarm system into HomeKit with https://github.com/tsightler/ring-mqtt and Home Assistant. It works amazingly well and I’m in the process of making a wall tablet dashboard solution so I can have that fancy tablet that will work with virtually any camera system.

DIY ESPHome Doorbell Chime
I configured the device in ESPHome to expose buttons in Home Assistant that I can use in my different automations. I’m running ring-mqtt which should (I haven’t actually set this up yet!) allow me to respond to the doorbell’s ding event and trigger the doorbell to ding. Since you have an SD card, you can put multiple files in different folders and tell the DF player to play a certain file. I have a number of different doorbell sounds on the SD card and created a select in ESPHome that allows me to change the sound directly from Home Assistant.

Is there a way that I can control the lights on/off of flood pro using a third party lutron pico or other switch?! Client has 7 flood lights but doesn’t want to only have the app control 🤔
Home assistant can take pico remote events with the lutron integration and should be able to control ring smart lighting with Ring-MQTT https://github.com/tsightler/ring-mqtt/wiki.
