I have no clue why I'm missing
Download rewind so you can check how you're missing. Everyone gets shit misses, though some people have better consistency to avoid shit missing. From my experience, consistency improves by playing longer maps and not retrying. Hope this helps :D

How do I tell if I’m tapping too fast or slow? I know about the indicator, but I don’t understand it.
I can recommend using a replay analyser like Rewind to have a look at exactly how you missed (especially useful feature of turning off hidden).

Is there a way to disable the little failure slowdown circles falling off the screen thing when you fail a song?
you cant, but you can also use Rewind to diagnose your misses. You can download it from the releases tab and you can open it. When you fail/pass you can press f2 and itll show the replay automatically

How does anyone get themselves to practice and play spaced streams when the shitshow of a mechanic called notelock exists and the tiniest fucking mistake causes you to fail?
I was just even more skill issued on jumps to the point that I brute forced getting better at them. If there's a specific pattern that I am getting owned on now, I use rewind to see how my aim/tapping fell off the stream and how many of the misses were real vs notelock.

How do you sync tapping and aiming?
Struggled on this for over 4 months in 2019. Just don't play relax, listen to the music. Most likely if you lose control and fail it's because you're aiming too fast or tapping is off-sync. Slower aim tends to be a bit more lenient to the tapping window, at least in my experience. osu! Rewind is a good tool for analyzing what you're doing wrong in order to make the changes necessary.

Replays disappearing and replay not loading after exporting map?
You can always throw it into Rewind if you are just trying to watch it and analyze. Other than the use of applications, try to reprocess the maps and reopen the .osr
