While moving houses, I also decided to take a bit of break and work on a side project, experimenting with rectangular tiles in a hexagonal grid. That might be useful folks here who want a hex grid for gameplay or aesthetic reasons, but want some rectangles for things like buildings. There's an interactive demo here and the code is here.
