I'm still using a DS3 as my PC gamepad, but yes. I don't know if windows natively supports the DS5 yet (whyyyyy nooooot?), but I use the latest version of SCP https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-ScpToolkit-XInput-Wrapper-aka-ScpServer-Reloaded

Pros: it's the least painful to setup, can act as a DSU server after patching (allows accessing the motion sensors of the controller as well as reading all buttons as analog inputs -- with the exception of Start, Select, L3, R3 and PS buttons, which are digital only).
