RMM Alternatives
Both Atera and SyncroMSP use OpenHardwareMonitor.dll/.sys which is no longer maintained and has volunerabilities - so Avast keeps blocking it. Both Atera and Syncro are aware of the problem but don't seem to think it's a big deal and I don't see them resolving it anytime soon. https://github.com/openhardwaremonitor/openhardwaremonitor/issues/1557

System Monitor Totally Broken??? Apex Pro TKL
Considering that Open Hardware Monitor (the app that runs System Monitor) hasn't been updated in over two years, I doubt that it'll be fixed anytime soon.

I got System Monitor working on a 12th gen CPU with my Apex Pro
Anyway, after a bit of searching I've found a fix in the code itself that enables 12th gen CPU support in OHM. I decided to build myself a .dll that works with SteelSeries System Monitor, and it finally works! I can now see my CPU/GPU temp and frequency fully working without crashes. So I decided to share it here for people who might have the same issue with me.

Accidentally downloaded a malware on company PC, should i be worried?
If it was something like this: https://github.com/openhardwaremonitor/openhardwaremonitor for example, that program looks like it uses a driver "WinRing0.sys". "WinRing0.sys" is on the list of vulnerable drivers blocked when HVCI is enabled on Windows 10/11: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/windows-defender-application-control/microsoft-recommended-driver-block-rules . Those drivers may not be directly malware, but they open vulnerabilities (e.g. let any program read/write arbitrary memory or execute kernel-mode code).
