    Personally I think that the Hotwire (html-over-the-wire) approach is very promising. It is simple for the developer, no need to learn about a front-end framework/language and allows you to be very productive. I have tried a lot of front-end frameworks/technologies in the past few years and used some (Opal + jQuery (TryRuby), Opal + Ferro (me being the author), React-Native, Flutter). All good technologies, each with its pro's and con's, but require a lot of time to master. Time I don't want to spend. For Hotwire there is not much learning to do (at least for me as an experienced Rails developer).
