Hey HN! We wanted to share an incredibly useful feature of this tool with you! nxs-data-anonymizer is a tool for anonymizing PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB/Percona databases dump through the Go templates and Sprig template library.
Since the first 1.0.0 release, we have added multiple useful features such as: filter functions to work with nullable values; a command line option to select log file format; anonymization progress logging.
In the latest 1.4.0 version, the external command mechanism was added. Now with nxs-data-anonymizer you can create field values from external commands through an additional type command of column value.
If the type: command is set for the column, the value of the field value is considered as path to the command that will be executed every time for this field. An additional environment variable will be available within the runtime of the specified command, the details of which you can find on GitHub: https://github.com/nixys/nxs-data-anonymizer
