  • Log Transformations in Time Series Data with 0 Values [Question]

If there are a lot of 0s you can try a zero-inflated count time series model. This is especially useful if the 0s occur consecutively i.e. a zero is more likely to be followed up by another 0. Here is an R package https://github.com/myangio/ZIM . Make sure to read the papers that come with it. There is also this more recent paper https://groups.google.com/g/nimble-users/c/-USdyZnsONw/m/zzCdvWbuBgAJ that has some Bayesian code for space-time data that could be repurposed for just time data.
