Show HN: Kubetail – Real-time log search for Kubernetes
Look into https://logdy.dev . I've played around with it a little bit, but really putting some work into learning it and integrating it with OTEL traces is my next side project.
Another alternative is https://openobserve.ai/ . It needs to run as a daemon to ingest logs (instead of opening a file), but it has a really nice UI.

Show HN: Nerdlog – Fast, multi-host TUI log viewer with timeline histogram
This is a really cool project — love the simplicity and the TUI approach, especially with the timeline histogram and remote-first design. We had similar pain points at our end when dealing with logs across many hosts, which led to building Logdy[1] — a tool with a slightly different philosophy.
Logdy is more web-based and focuses on live tailing, structured log search, and quick filtering across multiple sources, also without requiring a centralized server. Not trying to compare directly, but if you're exploring this space, you might find it useful as a complementary approach or for different scenarios. Although we need to work more on adding ability to query multiple hosts.
Anyway, kudos on nerdlog—always great to see lean tools in the logging space that don’t require spinning up half a dozen services.

Telescope – an open-source web-based log viewer for logs stored in ClickHouse
There's also Logdy (https://github.com/logdyhq/logdy-core) that can work with raw files and comes with a UI as well in a single precompiled binary so no need for installs and setups. If you're looking for a simple solution for browsing log files with a web UI, this might be it!

Congrats on the launch! I'm an author of https://logdy.dev seems like we had a similar problem with logs and decided to solve it but in a slightly different way.

Ask HN: What was an interesting project you started and finished over a weekend?
I've built a first version of Logdy[1] over the weekend. Since then I have been developing it and it's getting traction and attention.
Logdy is a real-time logs browser that is meant to replace viewing logs in a terminal during development stage. I was tired of browsing and searching through infinite stream of non-searchable json whereas having such a great tool as DataDog on production. I've felt that development process lacks this kind of tool and decided to scratch my own itch.
