Xenosaga broken on OPL with HDL Batch installer
Specifically, the problem was hdl_dump (HDL.EXE) that bundled with HDL Batch Installer broke the installation of DVD-9 games (I'm the one who reported it on github). You can keep using HDL Batch Installer by replacing the HDL.EXE with this build.

OPL no longer playing any ps2 games
Note: for HDL Batch Installer, you might want to replace the bundled HDL.EXE with this build. Reasons the latest build of hdl_dump that tool bundles is broke the DVD-9 games.

tips and questions regarding installing games on PS2 Hard drive
You don't have to split the ISO. hdl_dump install those 4GB+ iso's just fine, even the dual layer ones (But make sure you are using this build though for that. There are bugs with latest build of hdl_dump that broke the installation of dual layer games).

OpenPS2Loader not loading games from internal HDD .-...
Don't use WinHIIP, it's outdated. Use HDL Batch Installer instead. But, replace the bundled HDL.EXE with this one: https://github.com/ps2homebrew/hdl-dump/releases/tag/v47 (Extract, rename hdl_dump.exe to HDL.EXE then overwrite the ones bundled with HDLBI).

A question for those running FHDB and OPL
Try to replace the HDL.EXE used by the latest HDL Batch Installer with the rev47 one here then reinstall your game (Download it then extract it then rename the hdl_dump.exe to HDL.EXE then overwrite the one bundled with HDL Batch Installer). From my observation it seems that latest build of hdl_dump (HDL.EXE) broke the installation of DVD9 games. I've already make a report about it here.
