A spin on channels
Many people admire Golang channels as next big thing in programming but this is not a novel ideal. Message driven programming was around for a long time and languages like Erlang took full advantage of it long before Golang. From that perspective, channel implementation in golang is rather mediocre. I've create a small sample project to outline what channels are missing https://github.com/dtoubelis/go-aqueue. Feel free to check it out... I personally use this implementation instead of go channels in projects where performace is not a concern.
