    There is an NFS client that runs in userspace under FUSE, but in my experience it doesn't work well (very slow and got some weird errors while compiling a Rust project in an NFS directory). You're better off using SSHFS instead of that client.

    Short of using fuse-nfs in the Linux container, no. Since the Linux container is running in userspace, it cannot perform native NFS mounts through the kernel. And as you have discovered, ChromeOS doesn't have an NFS client enabled either.
