CP437 Support in unix now lives
Thanks to a post by kernelgeek. I've found https://github.com/keaston/cp437 which translates cp437 into vt100 codes. This makes cu(1), uucp(1), and every standard unix scripting tool in existence actually viable for bbsing without bulky minicom or other full ncurses base tools.
