Fan noise/ running at top speed
I had this problem on my desktop running Fedora. You can try to mess with lm-sensors, but it's really not that friendly and it can be time consuming to perfectly get your profiles the way you want them. Fans working only in Performance mode in Pop Os.
You can use this utility to control the fans. Be careful to read the instructions clearly as you will have to run a few other commands to index the hardware. But everything is detailed in the installation instructions.

Any software like FanControl?
Coolero is probably the closest program to FanControl I could find. I use it personally and it does the job for me.
