Google Domains is going away, now owned by SquareSpace. Well that sucks.
It's literally a single command on any number of open source tools made to deal with AWS' API, such as https://github.com/barnybug/cli53

thinking of using amazon route53, thoughts?
Works great for me. It supports all the record types I care about, and DNSSEC was pretty easy to enable. I was even able to set up federated access such that DNS admins at one of my customer's sites (1) would log directly into the Route 53 web console and (2) could only access DNS stuff for their domains. Nowadays, I manage my Route 53 hosted zones entirely through the AWS CLI or CloudFormation. See also https://github.com/barnybug/cli53.

Best Route53 resources?
AWS has long provided tools that can export the contents of Route 53 hosted zones to a variety of formats, cf. aws route53 list-resource-record-sets. These tools export zone data using the database schema of Route 53's storage back end because of course they do. If you want something different, use cli53, which is hardly "sample code".

Oh, we do exports from Route 53 and zone transfers from Route 53 all the time! Using the cli53 command line tool you just enter:
