Bimmergeeks Cable not communicating with INPA
Which INPA did you install? I had nothing but issues when I did the regular install, but I used this: https://github.com/gushmazuko/bmw-advanced-tools and it worked first time

The chime at the end
Just need NCSExpert and a USB cable.
- HALP PLZ - ran my E60 550i out of gas and ever since then it won’t start. I’ve tried everything, the pump is only a month old, same with the IVM. I get pressure at the fuel rails when the pump is priming but lose it as soon as it switches off. I have this code and it doesn’t look particularly cheery

Strange overheating issue
You won’t get anywhere with std obd2, get INPA set up. There’s a one click installer now that works great and got me up and running quickly: https://github.com/gushmazuko/bmw-advanced-tools

Macbook 2018 and ISTA?
For ISTA to access the K+D-CAN cable, you must have EDIABAS installed and configured in Windows. This is the communication subsystem between the cable and ISTA that makes it all work. EDIABAS is included in the BMW Standard tools form BimmerGeek as well as in the BMW Advanced Tools (https://github.com/gushmazuko/bmw-advanced-tools/releases). Once those are installed, you need to make sure that the EDIABAS configuration file (C:\EDIABAS\Bin\odb.ini) is set to use whatever COM port number your cable is showing up as in the Windows Device Manager (or you can just change the COM port number to match what EDIABAS is set to by default which is COM9). Once EDIABAS is installed and working, you just have to go into the ISTA, click the wrench icon at the top right and go to the Vehicle Interface tab and select EDIABAS as the interface type.

My Bimmergeeks cable is here (deathgrip required) and I’m lost on installing INPA/NCS, it seems all the files I come across are dated and will require me to backload drivers. This is for a 2007 328i, if that makes a difference.
Get the .msi installer from the "Releases" page here: https://github.com/gushmazuko/bmw-advanced-tools/releases
