As a basis project I took an Azure Functions project that I created for the Azure Functions University. I suggest you look into Azure and start using different services. For instance you can write C# based Azure Functions and then use bindings to, relatively easily, read or write data to other Azure services. Such as Blob storage , Table storage, Queue Storage, CosmosDB. There are quite some examples here: https://github.com/marcduiker/azure-functions-university

Since you want to focus on Azure Functions (which I think is a great idea) I'd like to suggest this YouTube channel that contains a lot of accessible content: https://youtube.com/c/marcduiker-serverless This GitHub repo is also part of it: https://github.com/marcduiker/azure-functions-university
