What is something I can use to signal my mobile camcorder folks that they are currently live so they do not move?
You definitely need a (wireless) tally light system. Many options available, depending on what you're using for a video switch. For Roland switches that use their Smart Tally protocol, here's great solution: https://github.com/Xylopyrographer/STAC Tally Arbiter is also an option: http://tallyarbiter.com

Custom USB Powered Tally Light. For $8. Built within Minutes! See comments!
I've built a WiFi Tally using an M5 Stack Atom. It speaks Roland Smart Tally, but it can be integrated into a Tally Arbiter system easily as well. the code is pretty modular. Shouldn't be too tough to swap in the protocol you need. https://github.com/Xylopyrographer/STAC
