At the moment I am learning R and plotted some charts with ggplot2. In my opinion they look quite good, but I really would like to improve them. Do you have any feedback or ideas? For example: I could not find how to start the x-axis with the first data point with dates ... Thank you!
This site has some nice examples as well if you are looking for more ideas. https://www.r-graph-gallery.com

Being comfortable with data manipulation/analysis/visualization tools is important if you are doing experimental science. I strongly recommend R for PhD students, the learning curve is not the best but the power and flexibility you get in your visualizations/data manipulation stuff is very pleasant. R gallery has many hackable examples and tidyverse is worth investigating IMHO.
