The community firmware seems to be yet unfinished, and no sign of custom frequency response in the roadmap: https://github.com/pine64/OpenPineBuds/issues/36 Might be worth mentioning it there.

Also regarding your PineBuds Pro's battery life, maybe you can try to empty them and fully recharge it again? Maybe you can even try the FOSS firmware.
