There is a mod for changing your njd in-game (https://github.com/zeph-yr/JDFixer) on pc but it only works for 1.18.3. And the njs changer is only the source code and the last edit was 7 months ago (https://github.com/Kylemc1413/NjsFixer)

NJSfixer is what you're looking for. Try using the official note offset setting first though, set it to "close" and see if that gets you what you want.
