After messing around with the pi2 for the last few days, I have it working and it's doing great! I just had an epiphany... I installed MMM remote control (https://github.com/Jopyth/MMM-Remote-Control) and I have the MMM scheduler (https://github.com/ianperrin/MMM-ModuleScheduler). They both work to control what you see when. In the remote control module you can make the screen full screen. And control modules from your mobile device (or anything that is on your network, really). I think I'm going to clone my configuration and see how it works. Then I can just full screen from the app, and one is all you need. Going to try it tomorrow (Fingers crossed)

I use MMM-ModuleScheduler to accomplish exactly what you're describing. Works like a charm.

I've been using this module to schedule monitor on/off events, might be worth a try and the module is useful for other things too: https://github.com/ianperrin/MMM-ModuleScheduler#scheduling-actions-to-control-your-magicmirror-pi-and-monitorscreen
