Shop was updated while the shards weren't, so you can make some essence if you just sell the shard and buy the champ for cheap
You can download this Github Programm. It is an easy tool to disenchant multiple shards etc. in one go.

Mass disenchant option
Your best bet is HextechButBetter.

[Suggestion] Change the 10 essence per 1 token button to -> "Use all remaining tokens for Blue Essence (10 per token)"

Obligatory. Super cool client tool that lets you mass disenchant or enchant, even works with event tokens. Riot has stated this tool is allowed btw (since it's just automating actions that don't give you any advantage or free content).
