I love the simplicity, the developer, its ability to share my files with external services quickly via plugins (I routinely share my recordings with his other app Gifski), the fact that it's open-source, and the fact that it's free. IMO it's well worth checking out.

I've been using Gifski. If I want a gif with a progress bar, then I use my own app ProgressGif -- but the quality is worse. I'll work on it.
