That is exactly why i create EasyArch. Just having a desktop environment in the installation medium would be enough for beginners in my opinion. They should just add another iso with a desktop environment for noobs. But then again, i can understand why they didnt care because of archiso.

When i got started with arch, the main problem i had is the lack of desktop environment in the installer iso. But with archiso, you can make custom isos. Here is my custom iso, it has xfce, firefox and nvidia drivers preinstalled. I always recommend arch even to beginners because it makes you learn the inner working of linux and also the archwiki, most of the issues you have can be solved reading the relevant archwiki page. good luck!

But the main problem i had with getting started with arch is a lack of desktop environment. Thats why i made EasyArch to solve some of the issues i had with arch while getting started.

Try Arch Linux. Its a great distro. Easy to customise. PhotoshopCClinux also has instructions for arch. Looks like what that project is tested for. The learning curve is a little steep but once you get used to it. you can feel the true power of linux. The main problem i faced when i got started with arch is the lack of desktop environment. So i created EasyArch, grab the iso from that project. It has a xfce desktop environment in it preinstalled. It also has nvidia drivers preinstalled in one of the iso.

I create EasyArch for newbies. There are no installation scripts but only an XFCE desktop environment along with firefox and gparted.
Move to Linux after 39 years of Microsoft... Help Please.

If you're interested in trying arch, give EasyArch a try. Its a project I created for newcomers to make the installation process a bit easier by providing a graphical environment with archiso. I definitely suggest Arch. Its easy to customize and gives a lot of control.
