You can use Chimp 261812 to clone your current to a new slave (DVD drive connecter connected) hard drive. Then, lock it after cloning. Swap drives making sure to set the new drive as MASTER on the IDE bus.

It should not be. However, I suggest you download and install the latest version, Chimp 261812 instead of using that old release.

You can if you want to clone it using Chimp 261812](https://github.com/Rocky5/Chimp261812), But, cloning requires hot-swapping which I do not recommend doing. So many possibilities to get where you want to be.

That said, yes, you can install an SSD and have your Xbox boot into the stock MS dashboard. You can make it boot into the stock dashboard whether or not you mod it. The easiest way to pull it off is probably to clone your hard drive over to your SSD using a tool like Chimp. There's also ways of cloning/building Xbox drives using a PC.
