Hi all. I'm brand new to Haskell, diving in for the first time using advent of code as an excuse to try and learn the language. I'm trying to go out of my way to "play", to get a better sense of how the language works. I don't think the specific problem is important in this case, but I have run into some counter-intuitive behavior.
