You might be able to move some _z.script functionality to xr_box.script and add an edited version of the code block that invokes it from ZRP's bind_stalker.script to your version of it (might need to extract it from vanilla gamedata.dbb). I say "edited" because you want to call the function in xr_box.script instead of _z.script, and you don't want the other functionality in that routine. Be prepared to do a lot of debugging; the relevant Lua 5.1 Reference Manual can be found at https://www.lua.org if you need it.
