I totally agree that moving fast is critical, but HJKL is really one of the slowest methods of movement in Vim. There's plenty of native motions that are faster, and then you can also look at a plugin like leap.nvim or something similar for super high-speed navigation. That's why I don't feel strongly about keeping HJKL in a row.
