I add it as a feature request to Github. I'll give it some thought and possibly get to it sooner than later.

I use PrivateBin, and it deals with the link scanning and chat preview problem by rejecting any User Agents that contain Bot or bot. So far, I surprisingly haven't had any issues with chat platforms.
