I know it's popular, but IMHO it's overkill: large and overly complex for what it does, not worth its weight. For simple programs I stick to flag since it's built-in. For more advanced programs that need better than the unconventional flag behavior, I use my own module following GNU longopt conventions: nullprogram.com/x/optparse (example usage).
