I have a web app in asp.net Forms (Framework 4.8). It is all currently synchronous. 1. Is there still a benefit to making I/O methods async (e.g. db calls, file i/o)? 2. if I use the task.Result in the Page code-behind (to avoid making all the pages Async), do I still get value? or will blocking be an issue?
