I know the dev team previewed VRAM usage as a new avatar stat (called "texture memory" or something like that) in one of the new UI screenshots. Not exactly "render time" but seeing VRAM usage and being able to filter based on that would be amazing. Often it's just a minority of people who use ~500MB-1GB of VRAM and don't even know it, because crunched textures expand to full size in VRAM, so their download size is still reasonable, and no obvious stat tells them this is happening. They could get the tool to look in Unity, but most people never would.
