  • Finally (and granted this is a matter of opinion but I think pretty logical), Linux and FOSS in general tends to benefit from the snowball phenomenon, where the more people use the platform, the more people become invested in it, the more programmers engage with it, the more people create things for it, the more new people want to use the platform, and so on. EmuDeck (a shell script for installing and configuring various game system emulators) is just one high-profile example of a simple-but-useful tool that a ton of Steam Deck users are engaging with, which clearly adds value to the platform. Linux gaming will continue to grow and improve at an accelerating rate as more people become emotionally invested in the future of the ecosystem, and that will only make it that much more appealing for bringing new gamers and PC "powerusers" into the fold.
