For instance, all of the SearX instance on https://searx.space present themselves as Firefox to upstream engines. For each search request, several engines at once are hit by a Firefox User Agent, artificially inflating Firefox's statistics.

Another option is use RethinkDNS, it can be used with free tier CloudFlare, and quite easy to set up. This way, you can add any filter as you see fit. The downside is that you can't create your own customized filter to whitelist / blacklist what you want.
