First thing I gotta say is kudos to you for working on nice projects like that so young, I wish I had done the same, I'm 35 and the time to learn and practice is hard to come by now. So keep at it, and don't worry if you feel lost or stagnating sometimes, you just need to try something new to keep the inspiration and curiosity spark going ! That's great! Also, doing everything from scratch is a good learning experience, but in the field we try our best to not re-invent the wheel. I usually just download bootstrap and stick that into my webpage to make it look nice with minimal effort, but only if the way it looks isn't too important (like an internal webapp or something).
