  • Pi-hole

A black hole for Internet advertisements

  • I use Pi-hole at home. It helps block ads on devices which don't have adblockers available. It cannot block all ads though due to the way it works. Any PC or tablet which can run Firefox does so with the extension/addon uBlock Origin. That's just my personal preference.

  • brave-browser

Brave browser for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows.

  • Brave is a fork of chromium, and has already stated that they plan to continue support for manifest v2: https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/20059

  • tampermonkey

Tampermonkey is the most popular userscript manager, with over 10 million users. It's available for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Opera Next, and Firefox.

  • Supposedly a member of the Tampermonkey team is in contact with the Chromium team, and they're saying they should be fine: https://github.com/Tampermonkey/tampermonkey/issues/644

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
