Snaps have existed since at least 2016, possibly as early as 2014 and in all that time Canonical has still never submitted patches to these tools to allow hiding the clutter. You might ask: Why don't the package owners fix it? Well, the tools all work fine if you don't have Snap installed. If you ask me, then the people who broke it and who would stand to benefit from it being fixed - and who also have the corporate resources and funding to make it a trivial task - should be the ones to fix it. Mostly, all the affected tools are in either the gnu coretools (du, df) or the util-linux (everything else) projects. One possible fix would simply be to look for an exported variable and if set to a non-zero value, then either hide all loop devices or those specific to snap.
