There is also Proton community updater (which can be installed via package manager or built) which is useful for downloading other versions of Proton (Glorious Egg-roll for example) and integrating them with Steam.
Steam Deck doesn't currently "support" btrfs natively (it does but won't mount by default), but there's a repo for SteamOS Btrfs that has scripts + instructions to enable it. I use it and can confirm that once installed it survives OS updates and automatically mounts both /home and the SD card whether they're converted or not.
