  • If you do a little research, you will find a decent number of projects that are experimenting with ideas for distributed social media, some using ipfs. There's a paper on a project called plebbit. I don't know how far they got with that. You can see in the comments some of the benefits but also hurdles that IPFS brings to the table. There was also a project recently announced on this subreddit about encrypted file sharing among peers. I forget the name, "brig" I think. This would seem applicable to community specific groups (more like close friends than strangers, more like collaboration with file synchronization and less like blogging).
