I just installed Windows 11 on my Steam Deck and it looks (and works) amazing! Any advice on what to install for Steam Deck with Windows?

  • steam-deck-windows-usermode-driver

A windows usermode controller driver for the steam deck internal controller.

  • So far so good. I had to figure out how to configure the controller to work not only in Steam. There is a driver for this: https://github.com/mKenfenheuer/steam-deck-windows-usermode-driver. Also, I configured the controller for PC in the Steam app. In any case, if Windows 11 doesn't work as you'd like, you can always reinstall the system on SteamOS. It's as easy to do as installing Windows.

  • Install Glosc from https://github.com/3D-ICON/GloSC

  • PolyMC

A custom launcher for Minecraft that allows you to easily manage multiple installations of Minecraft at once (Fork of MultiMC)

  • The flatpak of polymc works well on steamdeck from what I've heard

  • Windows10Debloater

  • Lots of open source solutions too, example: https://github.com/Sycnex/Windows10Debloater
