Cloud replacement for vacuum robots enabling local-only operation

  • For those concerned about data privacy, look into a piece of software called PiHole (https://pi-hole.net). It’s a custom DNS server that allows you to control what data your house and to where. It’s probably the single most effective countermeasure from the security in the privacy perspective that I know of.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • openwrt

Linux distribution for embedded devices (by robimarko)

  • Yep, I actually use OpenWRT for the same application. It works incredibly well even on routers that wouldn’t work on an 802.11s mesh with factory firmware. If you like to tinker I would highly recommend checking out their website.
