I made a demo of a peer to peer style game with VueJS (but it is vue2 sorry, cos I did it a while ago) https://github.com/ably-labs/depict-it It is open source, please take it if it is helpful! It uses Ably to do the websockets, which does the client/server communication with pub/sub. They have a pretty generous free account offering.
