waydroid
Waydroid uses a container-based approach to boot a full Android system on a regular GNU/Linux system like Ubuntu.
My guy, have you ever heard of Podman? It too can integrate with xdg and provides rootless containers. Not only that, but you can load any distro really. So even if you don't have AUR you can install an Arch image and get the best of both worlds :)

Anbox (which depended on a couple of modules) did come in Snap, and Waydroid (which doesn't have a Snap version but does depended on the same modules) has a discussion about it which might be useful https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/64
However, it looks like someone else is trying to do it with a current snapd, although you still can’t install from it.
