Most people either update their firmware to 3.60 or 3.65 for a semi-permanent hack (henkaku/enso) or use modoru on an already hacked vita to downgrade to them from a higher firmware including the latest 3.74 firmware. Please note that some Vita's came with firmware above 3.65 pre-installed. These cannot be downgraded with modoru but you can still use h-encore/h-encore2.
