First, VirtIO-GPU with 3D acceleration is currently not supported on Windows guests. So when using it you will have a good performance on Linux guests, but on Windows guests this will be the same as using a system without any 3D acceleration. I've opened an issue in the virtio-win repository on GitHub to track when support to VirtIO-GPU is added on Windows guests, but the developers say that this is not on a visible horizon yet. If you wish you can comment there also saying that this would be useful to you, perhaps seeing that there is demand this will encourage the development, but that is up to you. The link is here.
