I created a simple tool for storing secrets in environmental variables. Secrets are encrypted with a symmetric key, which is then encrypted separately with each authorized public key. The secrets can then be loaded into secure environments as needed. It's called SecretSafe.

Looks nice, but why would one want to use this over SOPS? Has tons of features, integrates with tons of things, easy to use by both apps and users, and friendly to version control systems, YAML files, and so on. And written in Go.
